I BELIEVE IN 3 CORE THINGS:

Weight-neutral care is a necessity for every∙body

If my work isn’t done through an anti-oppression lens, it’s not the right work, and

You.

Hi, my name is charlie Golightly (they/them) and I’m the mapa of Moxie Mind.

I’m a dietitian, educator, speaker, supervisor, adjunct professor, and smol business owner who believes in the power of community, collaborative support, and asking really good questions. Curse words and authenticity welcome! I’m particularly passionate about teaching dietitians and other clinicians how to cultivate therapeutic, collaborative relationships that invite in curiosity and compassion - rather than regurgitating facts and giving out handouts. We are here to do more than just educate. We are here to make a difference!

The clinicians I work with are some of my greatest teachers, and I am committed to doing right by them amidst my many privileges and imperfect humanity. I try to live in alignment with my values of integrity, curiosity, and connection, and I try to make my work my life without living to work 🙃

I’m here for the open and deep conversations around your work and your feelings about it (including your insecurities and fears). My intention is to always honor how your lived experiences intersect with culture and systems of oppression, and to shine light on those intersections in dynamics with your clients. This is a space where I strive to foster trust, hope, and inclusivity while honoring your autonomy and inner wisdom.

In recognition of my privileges and in being human, I’m not saying I’ll never mess up. But my mission is to always own up and to recognize that we’re all in this thing together. In each new leap, I wish us all courage.

Are you ready to embody love into action?

  • white, queer, genderqueer, highly sensitive person with invisible illnesses

I value your lived experiences in how they may differ or be similar to my own, and I understand a yearning for someone who just “gets it.”

  • authentic, gentle, collaborative, honoring, social justice oriented & anti-oppressive, humorous, intellectual, driven

  • warm, relatable, genuine, quirky, curious, passionate, intuitive

    9w1, Aries, PBNJ or something

  • — giving my doghter, Cora, the best life possible (classic millennial amiright)

    — gardening and taking care of my 40+ houseplants

    — making art, woodworking, and getting creative with random DIYs

    — talking all things Enneagram (9w1 here)

    — pretending I’m an interior designer in my home - I’m so inspired by Jungalow!

  • “I close my eyes and listen to the roar and clatter of the world as it rushes by. We are rushing too. The wind is whipping past us. We are so brief. A one-day dandelion. A seedpod skittering across the ice. We are a feather falling from the wing of a bird. I don’t know why it is given to us to be so mortal and to feel so much. It is a cruel trick, and glorious.”
    -Louise Erdrich

    and another goodie:

“Boundaries are the distance at which I can love you and me simultaneously” - Prentis Hemphil
